A little more about me…
I was born in Fort Worth, Texas. When I was seven, I moved with my family to rural Keller, 16 miles away. With a population of a little over 4,000 and only one traffic light, this was the kind of town where you could keep your front door unlocked.
After graduating from high school, I went on to Texas A&M University. It was here that I met my future husband while playing on the racquetball team. You could say it was “love at first serve.” During my senior year, I studied international marketing and international management through a study abroad program in Spain. After changing my major four times, I graduated with a B.A. in Business Finance.
My career choices, as an American Airlines Flight Attendant followed by a financial services representative, were sporadic at the beginning and did not fit my personality.
Eventually, I began working at The Walk The Talk Company where I stayed for 10 years. Here, I was able to do editing and inspirational writing, which definitely suited my introverted, sensitive personality.
During these 10 years, I had many babies. The first was our fur baby Wolfie, a part-Husky part-German Shepherd. Then, came our son, Diego, who was followed 27 months later by his sister, Bella. I had my first book baby, Welcome The Rain, which was followed by The Power of 10% that I co-wrote. When Diego was in the 1st grade, I had my next book baby: a children’s book titled Free to Be Super Me (which is not up on this site yet.) Finally, I had my newest book baby, Live Inspired.
The original version of this site was created with the release of Welcome The Rain. What you are seeing now is the revised and updated website to coincide with the second edition releases of Welcome The Rain and Live Inspired.
